  1. According to the poll it is clear that the majority of people want to be able to KOS anyone that is a victim of their raid. That goes along with how I feel, however it's clear many people would like a non lethal way to secure players they are raiding. Although these tools will be available I believe we will leave it up to the players to decide whether or not they'd like to be lethal. I've also introduced door alarms which you can purchase which will go off whenever a player lockpicks or damages a door.

  2. I find it hard to believe that you think we aren't listening to anything you're suggesting. We've made over 350+ changes/features since the release of the Open Beta on August 16th. Assuming we made the same amount of updates each day, that's 29 updates each day. Additionally since the start of the server there has been 226 suggestions in the discord. I don't have time to work on the server if I'm just staring at the suggestions page. The suggestions are not limited to just that channel, for I wake up ( no exaggeration at all ) to messages from 5-8 different players. Not only am I developing for this server I am also managing/updating and answering support tickets for gmodstore. I try to have a social life and take care of the home I live in while catering to your needs. I've increased the amount of searchable locations on the map, practically doubled them and have increased the chance of finding scrap metal several times. If you're going to call me brain dead over not listening to your suggestions believe me I will surely look past every single thing that comes out of your mouth. I'm not you buddy, I'm not your friend or anything that you think I am. You have no idea what I'm working on. You clearly have too high standards for us and I'm truly flattered, but being an asshole won't get you anywhere. Appeal denied.

  4. Alright looking back at our chat in discord and here it's clear you don't think you were impersonating staff. I don't care if you weren't trying to be me or Xavier or anyone else. Console is used by administrators as of now to directly communicate to the server. If you are using an exploit which makes your text appear as if you are console, then yes you are impersonating an administrator whether you like it or not. Although you may have only done it once, the fact that you were using it even though you know it was a bug and other players were using it ( and have been banned ) it creates confusion and incredibility from anything that comes from Console. It's embarrassing on our part, for this should have been fixed yes, however just because it isn't doesn't mean you use it to make any form of joke. 

     

    You continued in discord to bring up other players that did it to make it so it seems that you were being singled out. I can promise you that you weren't and you can check https://bans.csiservers.com if you think otherwise. I don't appreciate at all how you handled the situation. I was being very forgiving by only giving everyone a 4 day ban. I was more willing than to reduce your ban if you were to just make an appeal like I originally stated in the beginning of our conversation in discord. Even today I still feel like it was a mistake for only giving such a short ban. I can promise you next time if anything, any bug is abused, the culprit will surely receive a permanent ban. It's simply unacceptable.

    I understand where you're coming from with this, however I think it's solely different because when raiding a home, the home owners are on defense. Bystanders in a public area for example have no responsibility or ties to the crime that is being committed. However the person who is having their home attacked has something to lose which is why I believe they should be considered a threat regardless and yes as of now you should kill cops when robbing the bank for more than likely you're going to be armed and they will shoot you on site just as you should shoot them.

  6. With the current state of DarkRP being very experimental we're trying various things that other servers don't typically do. I'm currently trying to find the best set of rules that'll make the gameplay enjoyable without having to have a copy of the rulebook in everyone's back pocket. An issue currently rose up recently about raiding. To be clear this is not related to Police raids.

    The problem was there's no rule against killing unarmed players while raiding.

    The reason for this is due to the following:

    • The unarmed player could potentially call 911.
    • The unarmed player could potentially arm themselves and attack, thus safe to kill them first.
    • Witnesses can pose a huge threat to getting away with committing armed robbery.

    These are my personal thoughts and why I believe raiders should be allowed to kill unarmed players on the property without warning. In real life there are robbers who will kill you just for seeing them. It's the sad reality we live in.

    Although these are my thoughts I'm more than willing to go with what the general vote is. Your opinion is valued here and I want to make that clear.

    Well according to the video you broke FearRP so it doesn't matter what he thinks as long as you broke a rule which you did. I'm going to reduce your ban to 8 hours. The rules about raiding and killing unarmed players are being brought up into discussion. You technically didn't break any rules when killing the guy with the watering can so I'm going to reduce the sentence. Also according to your previous ban, you were banned for RDM not FailRP/FearRP.

    You visibly have no intent to roleplay a situation out. Every experience I have had with you is either you driving around (into people, either by accident or not), farming and shooting people in the back of the head. You are simply ruining the experience for other players, shown by your actions.

    From the clip you posted it appears he's raiding the home in attempt to rob and take what's in the home. When doing this typically, even in real life, people will murder the home owners they're attempting to rob. The scene displayed can be played out as roleplaying, for unfortunately these criminal actions do occur like this in real life. Is there any additional evidence other than the clip? I believe the raid and murder was valid.

    • Buffed Arrest Speed and dragging Speeds
    • Added approximately 40 spawnpoints for mining near the river
    • Fixed farming plot water overflowing during rain
    • Reduced smelt time from 100s to 50s
    • Police will receive XP every paycheck
    • Increased Walk/Run Speed however reduced stamina xp reward by 20%

    If I notice a change between now and the decision of this application I will surely +1. I understand you should be allowed to say whatever you want whenever you want, however when you wear the tag of Can't Stand Idiots and are representing the community, we can't have ties to such language. It's unacceptable.
